"SANTA'S WORKSHOP"
DECEMBER 9, 2011 5-9 P.M.
FESTIVE FRIDAY EVES - CEDAR CREEK SETTLEMENT

The fourth in the 2011 series of free Five Festive Friday Eves holiday celebrations at Cedar Creek Settlement is "Santa's Workshop" Friday, December 9, from 5-9 p.m. This free special event for children and families will highlight a child's look at Christmas. Santa’s Workshop is sponsored by the merchants of The Shops of Cedar Creek Settlement.

Santa Claus will be expecting visits from children (and adults) in his decorated holiday corner in the Cedar Creek Winery Cellar from 5:00-8:30 p.m. Letters and lists for Santa will be carefully read and treasured. Parents are invited to bring their cameras.

The holiday songs of famed balladeer and children's entertainer David H.B. Drake, in his Christmas Gnome finery, can be heard from 5:30-8:30 p.m. on the Settlement main floor landing where our premier sponsor Aurora Health Care will have experts on hand to give tips on children’s health issues and have giveaways and outdoors Sommers Automotive will have lovely new cars on display.

Mom and Dad will love the shopping and children can participate in free holiday workshops, including a Make & Take to paint Clay Bisque Holiday Ornaments and Cookie Decorating. Parents must accompany children under 10. On the third floor, visitors are invited to enjoy complimentary cider and cookies. Enjoy sampling dips, treats and cappuccino at Peddler’s Corner.

The Settlement buildings are alight with twinkling white lights, greenery and luminarias. Cedar Creek Settlement shops, restaurants – Anvil Pub & Grille, Cream & Crepe and Tomaso’s and Cedar Creek Winery are open daily and welcome you with the old-fashioned good cheer of a Cedarburg Christmas.
