THE
SHOPS OF CEDAR CREEK SETTLEMENT CELEBRATE
CEDARBURG’S 2010 WINTER FESTIVAL
ROMANCING THE SNOW
FEBRUARY 13 & 14, 2010
Brrr! It’s always cold outside at the Cedar Creek Millpond during
Historic Cedarburg’s Winter Festival Bed Races (1:30
Sat.) and Barrel
Races (2:00 p.m. Sat.) so wander into the warm and cozy Cedar
Creek Settlement to thaw out. This year it’s all about cuddling
with your honey as we welcome Valentine’s Weekend.
The Settlement will feature the rollicking Irish tunes and romantic ballads
of singer, songwriter, musician Derek Byrne. Derek toured
with Riverdance as a singer and percussionist for six years and with his
band Eider for four years. He is now a solo artist singing and playing
banjo and many ethnic percussion instruments. He will perform on the Settlement’s
main floor from 1:30-4:30 p.m. Saturday and 12:00-3:00 Sunday.
Nearly a dozen working artists from the Cedarburg Artist’s Guild
will be on hand throughout the three floors of the main Settlement building
for Winter Festival’s second annual artists event: the Queen
of ‘Arts Show and Sale. This will be a wonderful opportunity
to meet each artist as you browse their temporary mini-galleries.
The Merchants of Cedar Creek Settlement will give visitors a complimentary
Valentine Goodie Bag and participating merchants throughout the
building will give out “goodies” to adults and children who
visit their shop.
The Cedar Creek Winery and Wine Shop invite you in for complimentary
wine samplings. The Winery will be serving hot mulled wine
to cheer you from the inside out and you’ll need the warm-up as
you admire the creative hand-carved ice sculptures in the courtyard.
The Anvil Pub & Grille, celebrating its second successful
year in business, will have a Chili Bar and you can enjoy
their outdoor Snow Bar for your favorite libations on their patio, complete
with heaters, along frozen Cedar Creek as you cheer on the Bed Races on
Ice.
Come in to the Shops of Cedar Creek Settlement for Winter
Festival fun and see what’s new…25 shops, restaurants and
the Cedar Creek Winery. We’re right on the corner of Washington
Avenue and Bridge Road in Historic Cedarburg. Open 10-5 Sat. & 11-5
Sun.
